Lately, the idea of creating pieces of jewelry using rough diamonds has been an interesting notion.
Diamonds are typically cut and polished with precision, offering facets and sparkle- the fire that faceting creates, allowing light to bounce around the stone, is part of the magic offered in a faceted lab grown diamond. The quality in a lab grown diamond is often spectacular.
Another option is to forego the sparkle, and work with a rough diamond. While in no way "dull", a rough diamond is unique and offers a more natural piece- while a small amount of polishing takes place, the diamond is largely in its natural state.
The degree to which it remains in its natural state is dependent on the piece of jewelry- a necklace (shown) takes on a beaded characteristic; earrings, on the other hand, have prongs, and show the diamond in its more primitive state.
Never identical, the unique aspect of rough diamonds appeals to those who love a natural look and are fine with diamonds that are not perfect, and don't match entirely.
We look forward to this adventure, as we add pieces. Shoot us a note if you'd like more info! Each piece will be custom made, and priced accordingly.
